Linux Kernel TCP/IP RCE: Internet-Wide Scanning for CVE-2026-98432

A race condition in the Linux kernel's IPv4 TCP handling can let a remote attacker run code as root without credentials. The working exploit needs an MPTCP listener, but MPTCP is enabled by default on several distributions and in Go 1.24 and later. Patched kernels are available: update every internet-facing Linux host now, and verify that no MPTCP listeners remain exposed.
